Soono
Soono connects you with people who are currently parked – live, in real time. No more driving around aimlessly: just ask how much longer.
We've all been there: circling the block for minutes, even though somewhere close by, someone is just about to pack up and drive off. Traditional parking guidance systems don't really help here – they only know about free spots in parking garages, not the street right outside your destination, which is where most people actually want to park.
Soono closes exactly that gap. Instead of relying on sensors or cameras, the app connects people directly: whoever is currently parked shares roughly how long they'll stay. Whoever is looking for a spot sees that on the map and can send a targeted request if needed. No sign-up with a parking garage operator, no extra hardware in the street – just a simple question between two people trying to solve the same problem.
Tap "I'm parking here" and share roughly how long you'll stay – ~5 min, ~15 min, longer, or not sure.
See who's parked nearby on the map and send a request: "How much longer?"
One tap on "I'm leaving now" instantly notifies everyone waiting.
See who's parked nearby – and ask directly.
Your request is sent – you'll be notified instantly.
Parked right now? Let others know how long you'll stay.
Someone waiting? One tap is all it takes to answer.
Yes, Soono is completely free to use. The app is funded through non-personalized, or – with your consent – personalized advertising, never through subscription fees.
Not just to view the map – there's a guest mode for that. To start your own parking session or send a request, you need a free account with an email address and password.
The estimates (~5 min, ~15 min, longer, not sure) are based on voluntary input from the person who's parked. Soono can't guarantee their accuracy, but it does use a reliability score that shows how accurate someone's past estimates have been.
Soono works anywhere users are active – the map shows active sessions in your immediate surroundings (roughly a 1 km / 0.6 mi radius). The more people use it, the more useful the app becomes in your city.
Yes, Soono is available on both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. You can also use the app directly in your browser.
Requests expire automatically after a few minutes. In the meantime, it's worth checking other people parked nearby – the map shows all active sessions at once.
No. Your location is only processed while you're actively using the app, for example to show parking sessions nearby, and is not stored as a permanent movement profile. See our Privacy Policy for details.
